The Henry County Health Department is seeking an additional Part Time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to provide basic breastfeeding information & support to new mothers and share benefits of overcoming common barriers to pregnant and breastfeeding women enrolled in the WIC program. Qualifications include graduation from high school or GED certificate; must have breastfed at least one baby within the last 5 years; and have previously participated in the WIC program. Candidates must have ability to work independently for approximately 10 – 15 hours per week with majority of hours working from home making calls/texts (documentation in the office once per week). Must have availability outside the usual 8-4 working hours to mentor new mothers. This position pays $13.00 per hour.
