Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of our community. MRC volunteers include medical, public health professionals, as well as other community members without healthcare backgrounds.

What MRC Volunteers Can Do

With so many ways to get involved in with MRC, the activities you do and the role you play will depend on your own unique skill sets and interests as well as the needs of the community. Typically, the activities you will be assisting with fall under two needs

  • Improving public health in our community - increasing health literacy, supporting prevention efforts and eliminating health disparities through events and other activities.
  • Emergency Response - As a member of our MRC unit, you can be part of an organized and trained team. You will be ready and able to bolster local emergency planning and response capabilities.
