The Environmental Health Division of the Henry and Stark County Health Departments announce they will be holding two Certified Food Protection Manager's Courses. Local participants may choose from 2 courses to be held:
Class 1 will meet on Monday, February 13th from 8:30am-4pm & Tuesday, February 14th from 9am-1pm
Class 2 will meet on Wednesday, February 15th from 8:30am-4pm & Thursday, February 16th from 9am-1pm.
The classes will be held at the Henry County Office of Emergency Management, 4424 US Hwy 34, Kewanee. The cost of the course and exam is $140. The course textbook can be purchased in advance through our office or in class for $50.00.
Through the course, valuable information is given which will help food managers improve their operations. The food manager's certification course is designed to help area food service establishments in the county meet the requirements of the IDPH Food Code.
Those who participate in the course receive intensive training in such areas as foodborne disease, food protection, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, personal hygiene, building construction, public health codes, insect and rodent control and personnel training.
