Vaccination Services

Covid vaccine

The Henry and Stark County Health Department and First Choice Healthcare note that have Covid-19 bivalent booster and initial series vaccination services for all area residents 6 months of age and older through their First Choice Healthcare locations in Kewanee and Colona. Covid-19 vaccinations can be obtained on a “Walk-In” basis with no need for an appointment Monday-Friday, from 8am-4pm at the First Choice Healthcare locations in Kewanee, 110 N. Burr Blvd. (309) 852-5272, and in Colona, 103 1st Street (309) 792-4011.

The new bivalent vaccines are designed to offer extra protection against the omicron variants which are now the dominant strain of the virus.  Getting up to date now is especially important for those who are at risk of serious outcomes as the updated vaccines offer protection from hospitalization and even death.

Please note, those that originally got the Pfizer primary and/or monovalent booster; may get the Moderna 6 mos+ Bivalent booster.  It is now allowed to mix and match Covid-19 (Moderna/Pfizer) boosters for everyone over the age of 6 months and older.

There is No Cost for the Bivalent Covid-19 Boosters or Initial Series Covid vaccines.

We remind residents seeking vaccinations at our Kewanee and Colona locations that appointments are not being taken and pre-registration is not necessary. Simply come to the clinic during the Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm service hours.
